Last Sunday, Fr. Abraham performed the Blessing of the Water Service with the Victory Muron he received at St. Vartan Cathedral last week from Abp. Khajag Barsamian. “The Holy Muron is the representation of the Holy Spirit - His physical presence among us,” said Der Hayr during his homily. “Jesus Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit to us and he kept His promise! The Holy Spirit is among us and helps us to be comforted and guided by His advice. Unfortunately, often we don't pay attention to Him and we do evil. The Holy Spirit encourages us and tells us to do good. The recent events in France and Lebanon show that people usually listen to evil... What can we do? We need to trust in the Lord (Is 26:4) and to pray for all those who died, and for each other. We need to pray for peace in the world (Phil 1:3-4).”
