Stephen Sirounian, son of Dr. Gregory and Donna Sirounian, served as the Godfather of the Cross on Friday, January 6 during the Blessing of the Water (Churorhnek) service. The service symbolizes Christ’s baptism by John the Baptist. Each year a young boy is chosen to be the Godfather of the Cross. Stephen is 14 years old and in the eighth grade at Garden City Middle School. He is also a student at Holy Martyrs Sunday School, a member of the Acolyte Training Program, Holy Martyrs Junior Basketball Team, and ACYOA. Congratulations Stephen and thank you for your service!
