Last Sunday, Fr. Abraham spent the morning speaking with our Sunday School students, while Very Rev. Fr. Simeon Odabashian, Diocesan Vicar, celebrated Badarak. Der Hayr first spoke to the upper grades about Lent and the importance of the Bible. What a beautiful interaction between our younger students and our parish priest! He then spoke with the lower grades and had a lively discussion! They talked about who wrote the Bible and how long it took to complete it. They also discussed how important it is to love others and always be kind. Then all the students followed Der Hayr into sanctuary for a special Bible blessing ceremony and presentation.  Before the Bible presentations, Der Hayr asked the students and parents to recite a pledge, that they will promise to open their new Bible together and read it. In the presence of the congregation, Der Hayr blessed the Bibles and called each student in Kindergarten and in the 6-11th grades, along with their parents, to receive a blessed Bible. It was a beautiful morning!
