On Saturday April 1, the Holy Martyrs ACYOA had the privilege of hosting a regional Lenten retreat. The focus of the one-day retreat was reflection, prayer and fellowship. Many ACYOA members attended the event from different states in the tri-state area. There was also a nice presence from the Holy Martyrs ACYOA Seniors. The retreat, led by the ACYOA Central Council, consisted of different sessions including a Bible study, a short film, and many interesting discussions. The participants were served breakfast and lunch and the day started and ended with vespers led by Fr. Abraham. The participants had the privilege of having Dn. Narek, Holy Martyrs' pastoral intern, attend the event as well. He shared many thoughts related to the discussed topics and he also led one of the sessions. The St Leon's ACYOA Seniors also gave a short presentation about the upcoming 2017 General Assembly and Sports Weekend, which they will be hosting. Overall, the Lenten retreat was a very informative and fulfilling event for all present.
