Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, as we celebrated the entrance of Our Lord into Jerusalem, the faithful were greeted by the Sunday School children and parents, with a procession of palm fronds into the sanctuary. What a beautiful sight to see families worshiping together on this glorious occasion!
At the conclusion of the beautiful Badarak, Fr. Abraham blessed additional palm fronds and the four corners of the world. He asked the faithful to pray for world peace and to reflect upon the importance of Holy Week. The moving Trnpatzek service followed with the symbolic "opening of the gates" for Our Lord.
Bravo to our ACYOA members and parents who prepared a wonderful Palm Sunday dinner following the church services! Palm Sunday is known as ACYOA Day in the Diocese, and it was great to see the auditorium packed with the faithful who came to support the youth of our church. A special musical presentation by "Yerakouyn" Band, the Manossian brothers from NJ, was a real treat, bringing ACYOA members and the faithful onto the floor to dance! Thank you to Garen Karamyan, Youth Director, and Fr. Abraham for their ongoing support for our next generation of faithful Armenians!
