New Book
On Sunday, October 29, the Sunday School hosted a special book presentation during fellowship hour. Richard Tarpinian, his wife Marianna, and Jennifer Ross, presented the book, The Resurrection of an Armenian Girl, the memoir of his mother Helen Tarpinian, an Armenian Genocide survivor. Written by Stephen Tarpinian, Richard's son, the book details how Helen survived the Genocide and came to New York, a story she only entrusted to her grandson Stephen. He wrote about her life before tragically passing away in 2015. Richard led the way in publishing the book in 2016 in his son’s memory. All parishioners were invited to receive a free copy of the book, and donations were made to the Steve Tarpinian Memorial Fund.
