On Saturday, March 3, the ACYOA Seniors traveled to St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church in White Plains, NY for a Lenten retreat with other local ACYOA Seniors in the Northeast. The focus of this year's retreat was on finding more time to connect with the "stillness" of life that can so often be overlooked in our high-paced, technological society. Participants acknowledged that finding time to reflect on spirituality and the past can be a challenge, especially for young people who are mostly focused on their future. Through large discussions, smaller group chats, and bible studies, participants exchanged tips on how to strike a balance and how it can be helpful throughout their lives.
