On Tuesday evening, March 6, Fr. Abraham was inducted into Fordham University's Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society during a ceremony at the university's Rose Hill campus. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest all-discipline honor society. The society's motto is Φιλοσοφßα Kρατεßτω Φωτῶν (Philosophía Krateítõ Phõtôn), which is translated as "Let the love of learning rule humanity." The mission of Phi Kappa Phi is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others." Students in the top ten percent of the class are invited to join this prestigious honor society.
Fr. Abraham has been a full-time student at Fordham University's Department of Religious Education since January 2016 and is pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry. The Holy Martyrs community is proud of his accomplishments, which he has managed to achieve in addition to his full-time pastoral duties and family obligations. Congratulations Der Hayr!
