On Sunday, April 15, Holy Martyrs Armenian Language School celebrated its 60th anniversary with a sold-out luncheon and program following Badarak. His Eminence Abp. Khajag Barsamian was the celebrant for Badarak and special guest of the luncheon. The afternoon's festivities included welcoming and congratulatory remarks from Principal Elizabeth Khodabash, Board Chair Susie Horioglu, Parish Council Chair Aram Ciamician and alumni, as well as beautiful musical numbers from HMALS students, alumna Nyrie Djirdjirian and Yn. Karine. Fr. Abraham and Srpazan Hayr, in their remarks, spoke about the importance of Armenian Language education and thanked the efforts of the entire HMALS faculty. Following the singing of Happy Birthday to HMALS and cake cutting, a congratulatory proclamation from Senator Tony Avella was read by Fr. Abraham and presented to Digin Khodabash. Congratulations HMALS!
