Hye M'rtsoom
On Friday, May 25, the Holy Martyrs ACYOA Juniors left for Hye M'rtsoom Sports Weekend in Watertown, Massachusetts. Over 20 members competed in sporting events including Co-ed Volleyball, Basketball, and Ping-Pong. It was an historic weekend for the Holy Martyrs Juniors because, for the first time in many years, the Co-ed Volleyball team and the Boys Basketball team both brought home first place trophies. Also, Jay Wiebe received the Best Sportsmanship Award and Nicole Yaghdjian won second place in Girls Ping-Pong. As a result of these outstanding results, the Holy Martyrs ACYOA Juniors brought home the overall First Place Parish Award! The ACYOA Juniors also would like to thank Frank Tufenkdjian and Garen Karamyan for coaching and chaperoning the group the entire weekend. This was an exciting and successful weekend and our ACYOA Juniors encourage others to join them next year!
