HMALS Hantes
On Saturday, October 27, HMALS held their annual Holy Translators (Tarkmanchatz) assembly. Susie Horioglu, Chairlady, welcomed family and friends to the assembly in observance of the day created by the Armenian Apostolic Church to honor a group of literary figures who translated the Holy Bible into the Armenian Language. The celebration commemorates those who created the Armenian alphabet and became the founders of Armenian literature, our written language and schools. Principal Elizabeth Khodabash thanked all those who support the vision of the HMALS, a school that fosters the preservation of the Armenian language, culture and heritage. Mrs. Khodabash also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to family and friends for attending the assembly and supporting the students who sang songs and recited poems. Fr. Abraham enjoyed the assembly and reminded the children the importance of this feast day and the role of each of literary figure. Everyone enjoyed light refreshments following the assembly.
