Revolution of Faith
Saturday evening, November 26, was the start of a new dialogue at Holy Martyrs - a Revolution of Faith. Fr. Abraham opened the conversation with the definition of "revolution," emphasizing that the word can mean "coming back" (or revolving back) to one's roots. The root of Christianity is faith and having a strong spiritual foundation is imperative to being a good Christian. He challenged those present, including himself, with the task of becoming more faithful and thus, becoming better Christians. "It's not enough to say we are Armenians, the first Christian nation," said Fr. Abraham. The evening included a conversation with the faithful, some who shared their thoughts about faith, what it means to them, and how they have been touched by God in their lives. More Faith-filled evenings will be scheduled in 2019 to continue the conversation about faith and the importance of spirituality. A fellowship followed the evening's event.
