The rain did nothing to diminish the high spirits of this year’s graduation and promotion day. Elizabeth Derderian, Ellen Yegoryan and Armen Haratunian proudly walked down the church aisle on the arms of delighted family members to receive their diplomas in church. Meanwhile, students were celebrating the past year and receiving attendance and service awards at the promotion assembly. And after church, our graduates were toasted with a sumptuous meal and a parade of songs, prayers, and gifts offered by their schoolmates. Dr. Arthur poignantly surveyed the graduates’ journey through Sunday School. A specially-prepared PowerPoint told it all in pictures and music as well. Featured guest and Sunday School graduate Anoush Baghdassarian, a human rights specialist heading for Harvard Law School, addressed the graduates with her own witness about the way Sunday School permanently and positively altered her conversations with others about faith and history. Congratulations to our graduates and their families and to all our parents, teachers, and students who helped make this day possible.
