Hi Holy Martyrs families!
We are so excited to announce that VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL WILL BE HAPPENING this year, however, with one modification! Instead of you bringing your kids to VBS, we’re bringing VBS to your kids. VBS is completely FREE, but sponsors are always welcome! If you would like to help, please click here and donate online (select VBS in the drop down menu).
This summer, on the following Mondays: 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 & 8/3 we’ll be posting a quarantine-friendly VBS! If you can’t make it on those days, don’t worry – it will be available to access anytime so you can fit it into your summer schedule. For three of the days, we will be using a VBS program called BOLT. With minimal preparation, easy-to-follow instructions, and a video that leads you and your kids step-by-step through each of the three days, BOLT is designed for you to perform with your family at home. It’s so simple! AND, we will be adding special lessons and activities with Fr. Abraham. Get your kids ready to get wet for Vartavar, plant seeds and watch them grow, and plan random acts of kindness!
During VBS, your family will participate in fun games and activities that illustrate what it means to listen to, focus on, and follow Jesus. Depending on your pace, you can expect that each day’s experience will last about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. It’s great for kids of all ages. Even middle and high school kids can enjoy it!

There’s something else we’re really excited about — this could also be an amazing outreach opportunity. If you feel comfortable gathering with more people, you can invite as many neighbors, friends, and family to your house for BOLT as you would like.
