After a brief summer recess a new season of youth activities has begun at the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs. On Friday evening, September 13, Fr. Abraham Malkhasyan, pastor, held orientation sessions in the church sanctuary for the youth interested in joining the Acolyte Training Program and the Junior Choir. After a brief “welcome back” Fr. Abraham explained the role of Acolyte to the young boys and the importance of music and singing during the Divine Liturgy to the singers in the group. Handouts were distributed to the youth and with much enthusiasm, the young boys took turns holding the candles and the singers began singing!

Junior Choir sessions will be held on Fridays at 3:30pm, under the direction of Garen Karamyan. Additional sessions on Sundays to accommodate our Sunday School students is under consideration.
