On Saturday, October 19, students from our Sunday School and ACYOA traveled to the Father’s Heart Soup Kitchen in lower Manhattan. The students worked tirelessly and unselfishly as they cooked and served breakfast for 717 guests. They learned from the pastor there that the guests they served “can come home, their Father is not angry” and satisfy their hunger, find love and comfort. The outreach trip to the soup kitchen inspired all in attendance and reminded them when Jesus taught, “when you have done this to one of the least of my brothers and sisters you are doing this for me."
