On Sunday, December 29, Holy Martyrs celebrated St. Stephen’s Day – a day commemorating the life and sacrifice of St. Stephen, the first deacon and Christian martyr. On this day we also celebrated the humble service of our present deacons. At the conclusion of Badarak, with the chanting of a special sharagan, Dns. Frank, Garbis, Hagop, Krikor and Sason donned priestly crowns. Following the service, a beautiful luncheon took place in the auditorium where Fr. Abraham expressed his gratitude towards all the deacons and presented them each with a gift.
