Sunday School
On Sunday, November 23, over 60 Sunday School students, ACYOA Jrs, mothers and fathers prepared over 700 sandwiches for The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) in Hempstead, NY. The INN feeds thousands of the working poor and the homeless across Long Island every day. Together, the group made 262 bologna and cheese sandwiches and 450 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. This special Thanksgiving project was well-planned and lots of fun! Tables of students assembled sandwiches, runners replenished supplies, the Pre-K/Kindergarten students colored paper bags, and parents bagged and boxed the sandwiches. A special “thank you” to Dr. Arthur Asadorian and his family for organizing this service project to kick off the Advent season and to all our church families who donated the bread, peanut butter, jelly, and sandwich bags.
