As we look ahead this year and all that we would like to offer, we invite you to submit your 2025 Stewardship pledge form today to help our Parish Council manage our 2025 budget according to your pledged donations.

Please read on to find additional information about our Holy Martyrs Stewardship Program and opportunities to support our Parish Ministries. Beyond your monetary pledge, we encourage you to participate and support our church ministries according to your interests. Stewardship transcends monetary giving: your time and talent are as important as your pledge. 

The goal of the Stewardship Pledge System is for every parishioner to participate with a pledge followed by a donation in proportion to their individual financial means.

1. When did the new pledge system begin?

Holy Martyrs began its new Stewardship Pledge System in 2023. We are in year three of our pilot program.  

2. How do I remain/become a Steward of Holy Martyrs Armenian Church?

The Holy Martyrs Stewardship Committee adopted the following definition of Stewardship:

Baptized Stewards of Holy Martyrs Armenian Church are committed to incorporating our Lord's teachings in their lives and making a monetary gift to support the church.

Since February 2023, those who meet these criteria are Stewards of Holy Martyrs; membership is no longer determined by a yearly "dues" of $175 per person. We hope that for the majority who are able, the $175 per person will become a portion of your Holy Martyrs Stewardship Pledge. 

3. What are the benefits of Stewardship?

Of course, gifts to God cannot and should not be made from the perspective of seeking a return on investment. We are told in Luke 6:38, Give and it will be given to you. Your pledge gift is vital to Holy Martyrs; without our parishioners' financial support, the church could not exist. Above all, your gift enables Holy Martyrs to sustain its mission to Nourish Our Faith in Christ and fortify our Armenian heritage.

4. Can a husband and wife make a pledge as a unit; or does each person need to make an individual pledge?

A stewardship unit is comprised of an individual or a married couple, 18 years of age or older*. Each person in the stewardship unit is entitled to a vote. Please identify the names on your pledge form. (*New in 2025)

5. Can I make weekly, monthly or quarterly contributions rather than an annual pledge? 

Yes, the option is yours: you can make your contribution weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually by cash/check (check payable to Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs, memo: Stewardship 2025), Zelle (office@holy-martyrs.org, memo: Stewardship 2025), or online (https://achm.breezechms.com/give/online). Making your donations at regular intervals is helpful in managing our cash flow. 

6. How much should I pledge?

The amount is a personal decision, to be determined by prayer and according to your means and financial commitments. Consider how much our Church and its mission mean personally to you. Don’t just check a box!!

To help determine your pledge, kindly refer to the chart below which identifies weekly pledge amounts with respect to weekly income and corresponding giving percentages.

7. What if, for some unforeseen reason, I am unable to pay my entire pledge?

During the year, we understand circumstances may change unexpectedly. Your stewardship is valued because it is offered out of your love for God and His Church. If you experience an event that imposes undue hardship in fulfilling your pledge, we request that you bring this to the Pastor’s attention as soon as possible.
