Pilgrimage
The Holy Martyrs pilgrims arrived in Armenia last weekend and the experiences of the first few days have made an impact on all of them, emotionally and spiritually. "Armenia has definitely changed, as there is a new vibrancy in the air. There is new hope and optimism for the future," wrote pilgrim Aram Ciamician, Parish Council Chair. That was no where more evident then when Fr. Abraham led the Holy Martyrs group, including Parish Council members Aram Ciamician and Zarmi Megherian, in a private meeting with his Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of all Armenians. "His Holiness was engaging with the Holy Martyrs parishioners and the meeting was a success. Vehapar expressed a strong interest in Holy Martyrs and spoke about the important role of Holy Martyrs and the Eastern Diocese in the broader Armenian Diaspora. He commended Fr. Abraham on his work with our parish. He also was very pleasantly surprised to hear the children pilgrims were all students of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Day School and ingrained in their Armenian culture and church.” Click here to watch a video of the pilgrims' visit with His Holiness.
